Justice &

reconciliation team

MISSION

The Justice and Reconciliation Team (JRT) exists to fulfill the mandate of Scripture to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.  The team specifically pursues justice initiatives in two areas: (1) seeking racial justice and harmony; and (2) fighting against human trafficking.  Team members commit to one of these areas, and actively engage in ways to raise awareness, advocate, and take practical action in confronting unjust systems and providing care to the oppressed in our local communities and society at large.

The Justice and Reconciliation Team is led by Stephanie Snow.

VISION

To become a healing presence in every community touched by The VC by working to see and serve the overlooked and oppressed. The JRT will point to Jesus and the compassion of the Kingdom of God in seeking shalom (the wholeness, prosperity, and flourishing) for people so that they will experience God’s love, be reconciled to Christ, and their lives will be transformed.

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
