About Alpha – Fall 2025

The Alpha Course creates a space for honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Everyone is welcome, and no questions are off-limits.


This Fall’s Alpha will be offered in-person at Hyde Park Vineyard Church beginning October 1, 2025, and continuing weekly for 8 weeks. 


We’re partnering with Pastor Noah from the Park Community Church family to share this experience together. 


Each week we’ll enjoy a meal, watch a thought-provoking video, and join in meaningful conversations. The videos help spark ideas and guide the discussion, but the real heart of Alpha is the fun and open dialogue around the table.


Together, we’ll explore topics of faith, life, and meaning in a welcoming community.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of group conversations that explore life, spirituality, and faith through a Christian lens. We meet online 8 weeks to watch a short video and look at a different question that is designed to create conversation and discussion.

Is Alpha for me? 


Alpha is a safe place, and all are welcome. Millions of people have attended Alpha course from all backgrounds, religions and diverse views. We create a non-judgmental and open environment where it’s easy for anyone who is atheist, skeptic, or just curious about faith to explore questions of life with new friends. Participants come to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, and the claims of Jesus.


How much does it cost?


Alpha is free to attend – the cost is 2 hours of your time each week.

Starting April 23, 2025 for 8 weeks


What can I expect?


Each week we will follow a similar format


6:00 pm: WELCOME - Get to meet new people, make new friends, and enjoy casual conversation over Zoom!

6:45 pm: WATCH - Small film with big ideas

7:15 pm: DISCUSS - Large groups will divide into smaller breakout sessions where you can share your thoughts on faith and life and hear from others.and life and hear from others. You are free to say whatever you like, or as little as you like and listen to the views of others. 

8:00 pm: WRAP - Until next week

  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • How can we have faith?
  • Why and how do I pray?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • How does God guide us?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • How can I resist evil?
  • Why and how should I tell others?
  • Does God heal today?
  • What’s the purpose of church?
